Hawthorne’s Hoof Freeze Hoof Hardener aids in preventing and treating pain and soreness in horses’ hooves, particularly tender-footed horses. It should be applied prior to races, competitions, or strenuous workouts. The effective hoof hardener also combats thrush and white line disease.

Supplies needed:
- Hoof/Sole Freeze
- Brush
- Hoof pick
- Cotton (thrush treatment)
Directions for tender-footed horses:
Horse must be in a dry area. For best results, begin application at least two hours prior to race, competition or workout.
- Using hoof pick, thoroughly clean the entire hoof area.
- Apply to the sole of the hoof every 15 to 20 minutes.
Directions for hardening hoofs:
Apply Hoof/Sole Freeze daily for 1-3 days or until desired results are achieved. Caution should be used to not over-harden the hoof, which can encourage bruising and abscessing.
Do not apply the product on or above coronary band. If it is accidentally applied or spilled above the coronary band, clean thoroughly with soap and water, and rub in petroleum jelly or a soothing lotion to prevent irritation.
Directions for treating thrush:
- Place cotton on frog and saturate with Hoof/Sole Freeze.
- Gently press cotton into crevices of frog with hoof pick. Repeat treatment three times a week.

Hoof Freeze, great product. I have used this product for over a year now and have seen some spectacular results. I live in a very humid climate with soft sandy soil. I use this product for fungus and also to harden the soles and frogs. I can train at home and take my horses to rocky trails away from home and be ready for any terrain, and ride 15 or 20 miles a day without shoes! NO sore feet! No need for a lot of different products. Hoof freeze has got you covered, peace of mind, sound hooves, happy trails!
